Remembering Dr. Dominik Herper: A Valued Colleague and Friend

It is with deep sadness that we inform the AFS membership and community of the unexpected passing of Dr. Dominik Herper from GKD – Germany. It is a terrible loss to his family, his friends, his GKD family and the filtration industry and community.

Dominik has been involved with the AFS Society for more than 10 years. He was passionate about the industry and always ready to share his knowledge and expertise at AFS conferences. He has authored and co-authored numerous papers, as well as moderated many sessions at AFS conferences since 2016. When Conference Chairs invited Dominik to moderate a session and he accepted, he fully committed to finding the best technical presentations. He was enthusiastic and reliable always.

Dominik also co-moderated multiple sessions at the 13th World Filtration Congress in San Diego , CA, in October, 2022. He gave multiple presentations at this congress but made sure to network and socialize with his colleagues throughout the week. Dominik was a true professional but also developed many friendships in his professional career and within the AFS Society.

Our heartfelt condolences are extended to his wife, his family, his GKD family and all who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing him.
