Getting to Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh is located in Southwestern Pennsylvania, where the the Ohio, Allegheny, and Monongahela Rivers meet. Pittsburgh is about 45 miles east from the Ohio border and about 300 miles west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Pittsburgh International Airport

With more than nine million passengers annually, Pittsburgh International Airport gets people to Pittsburgh and brings Pittsburghers where they need to go, offering flights to 62 nonstop domestic and international destinations on 14 commercial carriers and more than 170 daily flights.

Driving Directions

Downtown Pittsburgh is a compact few hundred acre space, but there are more than 90 distinct neighborhoods outside of Downtown to explore. Traveling by car is a breeze with Interstates 79, 279, 376, and the PA Turnpike bringing tens of thousands of travelers to the city every year.

Public Transportation

Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) is the public transit agency for the greater Pittsburgh area, providing bus, light rail, incline and paratransit service to about 230,000 riders daily. With one organization, it’s easy to ride from Pittsburgh International Airport (take the 28X) to Downtown and all around the city for one low price. This includes our picturesque inclines!

PRT fare is $2.75 for unlimited rides within a three hour period. And to make planning even easier, download the Ready2Ride app (Apple/Google Play) to manage ticket purchases digitally.
