A primary mission of the American Filtration & Separations Society (AFS) is to provide a forum for the exchange of information among engineers, scientists and technologists from all areas of our industry. One initiative that upholds this mission especially well is our upcoming annual conference, FiltCon 2023.
FiltCon 2023 will be held at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY, May 1-3. Registration is now open. The conference will feature three plenary presentations, 23 technical sessions featuring 92 presentations, an expo and a student poster competition. New conference features for 2023 include a panel session on Wednesday to address circular economy and sustainability, the Prof. George Chase track on Tuesday.
Our highly targeted Exposition is a great opportunity to meet prospective customers and referral sources. To explore remaining sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, contact Tom Justice at [email protected].
The plenary presentations, technical sessions and expo will take place throughout the day on Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 3. Monday, May 1, is a full day of optional events for filtration professionals who want to make the most of their trip to Louisville. For additional fees, these include industry tours of JCEM and AAF Flanders, a networking reception and dinner at the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, and eight short courses taught by industry experts. Those include:
- Introduction to Solid/Liquid Separation (8 hours, 0.8 CEUs)
- Introduction to Air/Gas Filtration (8 hours, 0.8 CEUs)
- Metal Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) (4 hours, 0.4 CEUs)
- Microfiltration Membrane (4 hours, 0.4 CEUs)
- Introduction to Filter Media (4 hours, 0.4 CEUs)
- Fundamental Topics on Filtration Theory, Pressure Drop, and Particle Capture - New Course! (4 hours, 0.4 CEUs)
- Ultrafiltration Membrane (4 hours, 0.4 CEUs)
- Reverse Osmosis System Design Workshop (4 hours, 0.4 CEUs)
New Product Awards and Honorific Awards will be announced at the Annual Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, May 2.
Technical tracks will focus on solid/liquid separation, air/gas filtration, filter media, and filter media testing. A track on Tuesday will be dedicated to Professor George Chase, and there will also be a session highlighting the “latest and greatest” developments from filtration and separations companies.
