FiltCon 2023 to Present Panel of Experts to Discuss “Sustainability in the Filtration Industry”

At this year’s FiltCon, the annual conference and trade show of the American Filtration and Separations Society, a special panel discussion will take place during lunch on Wednesday, May 3.

“Sustainability in the Filtration Industry” includes the following panelists and topics:

Prof. Eunkyoung Shim, North Carolina State University – Biodegradable and Renewable Fibers/Filter Media

Mr. Mike Clark, Hollingsworth & Vose, Sustainability from a Filter Media Manufacturer

Mr. Daniel Locke, Kimberly-Clark, Carbon and Plastic Footprint for Filtration and Beyond

Mr. Koen Bastiaens, NatureWorks, Renewable Materials

Prof. Rigoberto Advincula, The University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory – Plastic Circularity

Ms. Margarita Luis, Pall Corporation, How Do Filter Suppliers Contribute to Sustainability?

Filtration and separation are at the very foundation of sustainability, due to the basic requirement of separating what we need (clean air and water, for example) from what threatens health and prosperity. There will always be a need for our industry’s technology, and a place for a wide range and number of filtration inventors, manufacturers and suppliers – especially those that can do the work of assisting others with sustainability efforts while also upholding sustainable practices ourselves.

Audience members facing sustainability challenges themselves are encouraged to bring their questions to the expert panel for discussion.

Register online no later than April 27 or register onsite.
