AFS Southwest Chapter Meeting Free for AFS Members **The chapter meeting will be virtual and open to everyone! Petroleum/Petrochem Industry Update and Chemical Separations Today’s Petroleum Industry with the many challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the trend toward renewable fuels is leading to volatility in demand, rapid e-commerce expansion, changing consumer preferences, decreased brand loyalty, supply chain disruption, etc. These factors make it particularly important to understand the various industry segments and how your filtration products and services should be applied across a wide range of petroleum industries from upstream to downstream. Abstract - Chemical Separations in the Process Industry: Mike Click is the General Manager and founding partner of Petroleum Products & Services – a digital publication featuring products and services of the Petroleum Industry. He has over 30 years of sales and marketing experience in various industries including oil and gas, agricultural, manufacturing, distribution, etc. where he was responsible for the design and implementation of sales/marketing strategies in support of corporate sales efforts. These responsibilities include budget development, design, and execution of all sales and marketing functions including strategy design, market penetration, new product introduction, advertising, public relations, sales meetings, seminars, conferences, etc. He has a BBA Degree in Marketing from Sam Houston State University. Dr. Engel has more than 20 years of industrial experience in a variety of areas of chemical engineering and chemistry. David is the inventor in 21 United States Invention Patents and author of over 100 technical papers and conferences. David has worked in several capacities for companies such as Eastman Kodak Company, Eli Lilly and General Electric among others. David has specialized in materials chemistry, process optimization and new technology development. David is the Managing Director of Nexo Solutions. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. David is currently a committee member for the AFSS, Southwest Region, committee member for the GPA Technical Section M and member of the advisory board of Gas Processing & LNG Magazine, and International Refining and Petrochemical Conference (IRPC).
