Chemical Separations
David Engel, CEO and Managing Director, Nexo Solutions

Today’s Petroleum Industry with the many challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the trend toward renewable fuels is leading to volatility in demand, rapid e-commerce expansion, changing consumer preferences, decreased brand loyalty, supply chain disruption, etc. These factors make it particularly important to understand the various industry segments and how your filtration products and services should be applied across a wide range of petroleum industries from upstream to downstream.

Abstract - Chemical Separations in the Process Industry:
There are a number of different methods for enabling separations in the process industry. Depending on the technical and economic objectives at each facility the method selection may differ. Possible avenues for enabling separations can vary from mechanical devices to thermal means, and also chemically induced. This presentation discusses certain aspects related to the use of functional chemicals to promote or enhance the separation process of solids from liquids and liquid from liquids.
