Course Description

Are you concerned about your membranes fouling prematurely and may have questions about cleaning? This course reviews the basics of crossflow, pressure-driven membrane separation, describes membrane element constructions, and addresses the mechanisms of fouling. It offers mitigation strategies and details cleaning procedures in applications ranging from water purification to membrane bioreactor wastewater treatment.

Learning Objectives
  • Fouling mechanisms and measurements
  • Mitigation strategies
  • Cleaning options
  • Performance monitoring
