About Franklin Adhesives:
FilterFAB makes it easier and quicker to fabricate durable filters.
Franklin Adhesives & Polymers’ FilterFAB line includes a powerful, fast-setting PVA adhesive for general air filter assembly and two versatile solvent-free polyurethane adhesive for end cap potting and edge/frame sealing. The line of adhesives brings strength, speed and convenience to filter assembly.
Rigorous in-house testing indicates that our PVA adhesive – FilterFAB 210 FS – offers stronger bond strength than other filter fabrication adhesives. This PVA product provides the convenience of a one-part formulation and the easy cleanup inherent in water-based adhesives. Compatibility with most glue spreader systems makes it all the easier to use this FilterFAB product.
FilterFAB 2000 and FilterFAB 2020 are two-component solvent-free polyurethane assembly adhesives designed for assembling air and liquid filters. They are particularly ideal for potting filter end caps and bonding side seams. Both versatile adhesives bond well to metals, PVC, vinyl, fiberglass, polyester, polystyrene and cellulosic materials and offer good chemical resistance as well as good heat resistance with temperatures below 170°F. FilterFAB 2020 offers a quicker cure time of one to five minutes compared to FilterFAB 2000, which can cure at five to nine minutes at room temperature. As powerful as they are versatile, these FilterFAB adhesives offer Shore D Hardness of 80 to 82 (when fully cured) and meet FDA regulation CFR 175.105 for indirect food contact.
