China and India alone will contribute one-third of the growth in urban populations, worldwide. Along with the growth in population and urbaniza- tion, many developing countries around the world are currently experiencing the rapid industrialization that occurred in the US during the previous century. They are also see- ing the rapid growth of a working middle class, with its inherent demands for goods and services, including safe food and water, a reliable power grid and world-class healthcare infrastructure. All of these things provide continued global growth for the filtration and separation industry.
