AFS 2009 Annual Conference & Exposition

Student Poster Competition

This year’s Student Poster Competition produced a lively discussion in the halls of the conference center. Held on Tuesday afternoon, the student poster presenters were faced with an abundance of questions as conference attendees viewed their posters.

The AFS Student Poster committee, chaired by Dr. George Chase, awarded scholarship prizes to the top three student posters. The judges had to make difficult decisions as all eight poster presenters did an excellent job.

2009 Student Poster Winners
The student poster competition had a distinct international flavor, with a high level of competition. The judges commented on the high quality of the poster presentations and the scores were only separated by the narrowest of margins.
