For over 25 years, Puradyn Filter Technologies Incorporated has designed and manufactured a high-efficiency bypass oil filtration system based upon two concepts:
- Lubricating oil does not wear out and, if kept clean, will almost indefinitely maintain lubricating qualities intact.
- High-efficiency, micro-fine oil filtration is essential for extending equipment life and oil change intervals.
Over the past decade the quality of filtration and oil additives have improved significantly; however, oil changes are still necessary because available full flow oil filters alone still cannot remove fine contaminant.
Puradyn technology has become a significant weapon in the arsenal against escalating oil-related maintenance costs through its ability to effectively address major issues that cause oil to lose its inherent characteristics to cool, lubricate, and seal.
Used in conjunction with the equipment manufacturer's full flow filter, the puraDYN® System keeps engine and hydraulic oil clean by filtering a small amount of oil out of the normal stream and returning it back into the flow after removing solid contaminant to below one micron, plus liquid, gaseous, and acid contaminants. Additionally, the filter contains a timed-release blend that replenishes base additives in engine oil, maintaining viscosity and TBN as they become depleted from the oil. The filter also uses a treated element that chemically attracts and then binds contaminants less than one micron in size.
Puradyn has designed its System and replacement Filter Elements for engines of all types, using any type of fuel – diesel, gasoline, natural gas, and biodiesel. As well as engines, the System is very effective in non-combustion situations such as transmissions and hydraulic installations.
