Dr. Wu Chen is a Sr. Specialist with the Dow Chemical Company. He has over 20 years of practical experience in the field of solid/liquid separation technology including filtration, sedimentation, centrifugation, flocculation, particle characterization and system design. He gets his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan Univ., M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Univ. of Houston under the guidance of Prof. Frank Tiller who is honored as the father of the modern filtration theory.
He is currently the chair of AFS Education Committee. He has served as the chair of AFS, board of directors, and conference chairs in the past. His was awarded AFS Frank Tiller Award in 2002 and AFS Wellshoemaker Award in 2005. He also teaches the solid/liquid separation course at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers continuing education program.
Don is the General Manager of Flow Ezy Filters, Inc. manufacturer of hydraulic, pneumatic, air, oil, and fuel filters, since 1993. He graduated from University of Detroit, Detroit, MI, 1971, with B.A. in Social Work/Human Resources Management and minor in Psychology. He later attended Washtenaw College, Ann Arbor, MI, 1994, studied Fluid Power, Hydraulics, Business Law, and Business Management.
He is the author of Basic Filtration Seminar I, manual used in conjunction with seminar presentation, and A Simplified Study in Filtration. He also authors the monthly newsletter, "Flow Ezy Product and Service Information Newsletter" and articles appeared in various Fluid Power and related publications, such as:

Jerry has 25+ years of experience in management, design engineering, and manufacturing operations. He has extensive experience in filtration and separation technologies and his specialties are; advanced engineering analysis product development, and efficient manufacturing work cell design. Mr. Lynch is currently the President of Sigma Design Company, design engineering and manufacturing consulting firm serving manufacturers and industrial clients. Industry experience includes: aeronautical, biotechnology, chemical processing, environmental, medical device, renewable energy, offshore marine and shipbuilding. Jerry is a member of the American Filtration and Separations Society (AFS). He is currently the AFS Chairman for 2006-2007, and has been an AFS board member since 1999 serving as Chapter Affairs Chairman and he is still the President of the Mid Atlantic Chapter. Other areas of technical involvement include ASTM, Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Education: MS Stevens Institute of Technology: Hoboken, New Jersey, BE Engineering; State University of New York: Stony Brook. Mr. Lynch is a licensed professional engineer in the States of NY & NJ. He is a certified NIST practioner and trainer for manufacturing improvement including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques.

Dr. Mayer is a Senior Consultant with DuPont, Wilmington, DE specializing in SLS technology since 1980. He gets his B.S. and M.S. Chem. Eng. degree from Columbia University, New York City, NY and Ph.D. of Chem. Eng. from U,of Delaware, Newark, DE. Dr. Mayer has a brilliant professional career, among his numerous awards are Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi, Deans' Lists, 3 Eng. Excellence Awards, 5 Environmental Respect Awards, Class 'A' bonus, AFS Tiller award in 1995 and AFS Fellow award in 2000.
He is a member of AWWA, AICHE, SME, WEF, IBA, and AFS&S (Board of Directors since 1988, Chairman of Users Committee; plus member of two other committees). He has organized/chaired one technical conference and is the Co-chair of World Filtration Congress in 2004. He published over 200 papers/publications and 2 patents. In 1991, a remediation technology developed by him was accepted into the EPA SITE program.
