Welcome to the American Filtration & Separations Society (AFS), a leading non-profit technical and educational organization in the field of Fluid/Particle Separations in the US.

Started in 1987, AFS is focused on adding value to AFS membership by providing a venue where people with an interest in Fluid/Particle Separation meet to exchange ideas, share technology advancements, identify needs and opportunities, spot trends and changes in the industry and learn from each other.

To this end AFS organizes annual Technical Conferences, Topical conferences, short courses and expositions. AFS also publishes "Filtration Basics" Short Course Notes, as well as conference proceedings. AFS regularly publishes a newsletter updating news and events of the society and its corporate sponsors.

With over 400 members AFS provides a unique forum for anyone involved in Fluid/Particle Separations to interact and learn, share experiences and gain new insights. Isn't it time you joined your peers?

Individual and Student Membership

Annual dues:
$125 US Individual

Dues are based on a calendar year (Jan 1-Dec 31).

Did you know that your annual AFS membership dues of $125 provides benefits of at least $500?  By renewing your AFS Membership you will receive:

And now you will also receive CEU’s for attending any of our Filtration Basics Short Courses and Advanced Courses offered at any of our meetings.  These CEU’s were first offered to our Fall 2005 Course attendees.  AFS is also considering expanding the FBSC at regional meetings and providing employment opportunity booths at  Spring and Fall conferences.

Distributor and Manufacturer's Rep Membership(DMRM)

Annual Dues $1,250.00

Dues are based on a calendar year (Jan 1-Dec 31).

This class of membership was especially created to meet the needs of distributor and manufacturer's reps for training and education in Filtration Science. As a DMRM you receive:

• Supporting Companies are listed in the right column of most AFS web pages. There are about 5,000 unique visitors to the AFS website each month. This is exposure of your company to close to 60,000 interested filtration and separation customers each year.

• Supporting Company’s logos are selected by random to appear on the AFS masthead on all AFS webpages. (If you are not taking advantage of this benefit, email a jpg or gif file of your logo to AFS. It is best if your graphic designer can size this file to less than 100 x 100 pixels.)

• Inclusion in the AFS internet web page with your company profile and the ability to "hot link" to your home page.

• Individual memberships for two persons at your company designated as AFS Corporate Representatives. Both individuals will each receive a subscription to the AFS E-Newsletter and Filtration News magazine. They have the opportunity to subscribe to Filtration & Separation magazine at half price.

Premium Membership - Includes all the benefits of standard members with these additional benefits:

1. 25% rate discount on multiple insertion display advertising schedule in International Filtration News
2. Reduced pricing on tabletop exhibits at both the AFS Spring and Fall conferences and recognition on the AFS website and at both conferences. Normal pricing for tabletop exhibits is $1000 for each conference. This is a $2000 value

Platinum Membership - Includes all the benefits of standard and premium membership plus these additional benefits:

1. 30% rate discount on multiple insertion display advertising schedule in International Filtration News.
2. A free full page editorial in International Filtration News and free full-year Standard Banner on the Filtration News website.
3. Conference Sponsorship at both the AFS Spring and Fall conferences with year-long recognition on the AFS website with a company logo banner linked to the members website.
