Speaker Guidelines

 

Instructions for presenters::

  1. Registration: All presenting authors are required to register to confirm their attendance at the Conference on or before May 1, 2012.  Abstracts will not be included in the Technical Program and Proceedings if the registration form is not received by this date.
  2. Due Date:  All abstracts are due March 1, 2012. The abstract needs to include a brief biographical sketch(max 150 words). Abstracts are limited to 250 words and submitted online at www.afssociety.org/abstracts2012
  3. Papers or PowerPoint Presentations:  All manuscripts or PowerPoint presentations for inclusion in the “Proceedings: are due by May 1, 2012. Submit papers and PowerPoint onlind for inclusion in the "Proceedings" at: http://www.afssociety.org/uploads/

    Manuscripts should be a Microsoft Word or PDF document in English. The first page should include the paper title, author(s) names and addresses, the abstract and 5-10 keywords.

  4. Oral Presentation:
    1. Oral presentations of contributed papers are strictly limited to 25 minutes, which includes 20-minute presentation and 5-minute discussion.
    2. Copyright Release Form: Please complete and fax or send by email to kssafs@mac.com or by fax, 612-861-7959. These will be sent to authors once their abstract has been accepted.
    3. A LCD projector and laptop computer will be provided in each conference room for computer-based PowerPoint presentations. Please bring your presentation with you to the conference on a USB drive. The presentations will be loaded onto the presentation computers at the beginning of your session.
    4. Any promotion of a commercial product/process or aggressive use of trade names or other forms of commercialism within the title, text or figures is not permitted in the technical sessions.
