Expert Panel Discussion: Diesel Fuel Filtration for Emission Control - Issues, Challenges and Solutions, Moderator - Dr. Barry Verdegan, Cummins Filtration, Dr. Christine Stanfel, Ahlstrom, Dr. Christophe PEUCHOT, International Filter Testing Services and Mr. Kevin Westerson, Cummins Filtration, Executive Director of Engineering and Technology.
The fuel injection system is a critical component for in-cylinder diesel emission control. Filtration to control particulates and water to previously unheard of levels are required. Driven by emission regulations, fuel filtration is an extremely dynamic field in which changes in filter specifications and technology occur on an almost daily basis, as advances in engine design and field experience is obtained. This panel of experts, representing filtration, engines, filter media and testing segments, are brought together to answer questions and discuss the future of future diesel fuel filtration and fuel water separation.
