KX Technologies, LLC was formed in 1989 as a Limited Partnership between Exxon and KT Corporation. Although the original products were devoted to activated carbon materials, today the firm also manufactures specialized nanofibers, filter papers, chemically-treated carbons, and particleloaded nonwovens and papers.
KX Technologies operates the world's largest solid-state extrusion facility for the production of high-quality and low-cost activated carbon air and water filters, and sells more carbon filters to more Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) than anyone in the world. These products are sold under the internationally recognized brand names of MATRIKX ® activated carbon block and PLEKX ® composite web.
