Self-Contained Pyros Evaporation Technology Produces
2,000 Lbs. Steam
per Hour
February 6, 2006
Ft. Smith, AK - The first self-contained Pyros from Total Separation Solutions produced highly favorable results. The patented evaporation process produced 2,000 plus pounds of steam per hour. Utilizing Shockwave
Power Reactor (SPR) technology, and powered by a 650 hp continuous-service diesel engine, the Pyros is capable of evaporating water into steam without the need for external support, i.e. electricity, air, natural gas, or water.
The ShockWave Power Reactor harnesses the power of controlled cavitation to transfer the mechanical energy directly to the fluid. This creates heat without the use of flame, and without heating surfaces that can scale. The
result is efficient heat, capable of evaporating water from brine and creating continuous steam.
Used to re-densify expensive brines, The Pyros has a foot print of 30' x 8' and weighs in at 26,000 lbs. It has an on-board fuel capacity of 430 gallons, and consumes 33 gallons of fuel per hour operating under full load. Construction consists of 316 SS for the SPR and piping in all of the wet areas.
