Separations Processes for the Power Generation Industry

AFS Fall Topical Conference October 16-18 2006
October 16-18 2006
Pittsburgh, PA

An overview of this conference will be coming October 25th.

The American Filtration & Separations Society’s Fall conference to be held Oct 16-18 2006 in Pittsburgh PA. has been designed to provide valuable technical and networking opportunities for utility managers, operators, engineers, scientists, government officials, consultants and filtration/separation industry experts.

Efficient, cost-effective power generation processes are critical to both the public and private sectors. Novel filtration and separation technologies are integral components in making this a reality for the power generation industry. In the past decade, The U.S. Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, National Science Foundation and many private enterprises have invested tremendous research efforts toward environmental and efficiency standards that effect the power industry. And the power industry is in hot pursuit of strategies to provide clean power for a sustainable future.

Industrial filtration and separation product applications for environmentally sound and cost-effective separation are being researched and practiced by many of the American Filtration and Separation Society’s members and associates. Whether it is in Membrane Technology, Water Reuse Systems, Hot Gas Conditioning, Fine Particle Separation or CO2 Capture, AFS members have their finger on the pulse of advanced separation technologies.

Topics of special interest to the Power Generation industry include:

Integrated Gasification, High Temperature Flue Gas Conditioning, Clean Coal Technology, Avoiding CO2 Emissions, Fuel Processing, Membrane-Based Separations, Water Reuse and Treatment, Hg Removal, Electrostatic Precipitation and Standardization Society Test Methods and much, much, more…
